A brief history.

In the early 1990’s, the founders of Emergency Communications Network pioneered technology for the automated delivery of recorded voice messages to both answering devices and live call recipients. The call progress detection and methodologies have been awarded several U.S. Patents over the years. As part of the product development cycle for this technology, our founders were also building and maintaining a wholly owned telephony network which serves as the backbone of all ECN products.
By 1998, they were ready to take on another challenge and established the Software as a Service (SaaS) model for community wide emergency notification. This new use of technology allowed municipalities to communicate with citizens at previously unheard of speeds and levels of accuracy. The growth of this business was exponential, and within a few short years Emergency Communications Network became the largest and most relied upon emergency notification provider in the Country. |
